Multi-port GaN chargers have replaced the laptop brick. The Anker GaN Prime 100W and Ugreen Nexode 100W are the two most popular options at around $60. Both are the size of a deck of cards and charge laptops, phones, tablets, and headphones simultaneously.

Charging speeds are nearly identical: 100W max to a single device, intelligent power splitting across ports, USB PD 3.0 and PPS support. Both work with every major laptop and phone brand.

Anker’s build quality is slightly better — the folding plug glides smoothly, the plastic feels premium, and the unit stays cool under load. Ugreen includes an extra USB-A port (three USB-C + one USB-A vs Anker’s three USB-C only), which helps with legacy devices.

Verdict: if you still own any USB-A devices, get the Ugreen for the extra port. If you want the best-built charger that will outlast several laptops, get the Anker.
